Romy currently competes in the 52kg for the JC90 Frankfort.


Tarangul won the silver medal at the European Championships in 2008 and qualifed for the Beijing Olympics.


In 2009 Romy won the bronze medal at the 2009 World Championships in Rotterdam Netherlands.

After her Olympic appearance Romy along with three other German female Olympic athletes posed for Playboy.
