In 2005 Guerrero was a member of the Wichita State National Championship bowling team along with being a member of the Colombian National Team.


In 2009 Carla posted the highest 3 game series ever in the history of the World Championships and set the World Record.  Guerrero also became the World Masters Champion and was voted the 2009 Colombian Athlete of the Year.


On the PBA Women's series Carla finished fifth twice and fourth in the U.S. Women's Open in 2009-2010.
