In 2013, Ellyse was ranked as the most marketable sportsperson in Australia by SportsPro magazine.
Perry made her debut in the Women's National Cricket League with New South Wales in 2007-08.
Ellyse was part of the winning team for Australia in the 2010 World Twenty20 in the West Indies.

Ellyse is also a defender with Sydney FC and competed in the 2013 mobcast Cup International Women's Club Championship.
Perry became the first Australian women to represent Australia at a senior World Cup in two different sports when she played in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany.
