Kina was born to Susy Dyson and Oscar Malpartida.  Dyson worked as a supermodel with a record number of magazine covers in Vogue.  Oscar was the three time Peruvian National Surfing Champion.


Kina started training as a boxer in 2003 in Austrailia and had her first professional fight against Katrina Harding in August 2003.  Malpartida won by unanimous decision.

In February 2009 Kina had her 12th professional fight at Madison Square Garden in New York against Maureen Shea where Malpartida won the WBA World Championship Title in the Super Featherweight division.


In Kina's latest fight in 2011 Kina defeated Rhonda Luna by unanimous decision.  Kina's current professional record is 13-3 with 3 knockouts.
